BIG WHEELS
Big Wheels are an unsigned band based in the Scottish Highlands and islands.
Starting in 2018 covering Runrig songs on social media it was just Chris on guitar & vocals and Andy on Drums.
2019 brought the independent release of the 6 track EP "Prelude" , a debut gig at Kilmuir Hall Isle Of Skye with another couple of dates between Inverness and Skye.
During the lockdown periods of 2020 & 2021 Andy & Chris did various lockdown projects remotely covering Runrig songs which were posted on Facebook.
Work started in late 2021 at Paul Matheson's studio in Stornoway laying down tracks for a future album. Murdo 'Gress' Maclennan on bass and Sean Harrison on guitars both added to the line up.
"Faded Memories" & "Winters Day" were released on all digitial platforms as singles in 2022 via the bands own label Hunish Records.
Big Wheels opened the 10th Stramash festival in Stornoway in August 2022 , and followed up with a 2023 appearance at Stramash also.
